What Does this trans Vaginal Sonogram Test Result Mean?
I had a transvaginal sonogram done and it says I have hypoechoic intramural mass near my cervix. The endometrium demonstrate endometrial lumen fluid in the fundal. This fluid is 1cm in cephalocaudad approximately 0.2 cm in diameter. This is abnormal. I am 47 with tubes tied years ago. What does the mass and fluid mean?
Welcome to health care magic. 1.The report suggests there is a mass lesion at cervix. 2.Possibily a fibroid or cervical mass lesion, which is causing mass effect on the endometrial thickness and blockage and so there is collection seen in the endometrial cavity. 3.An investigation needed. FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology, BIOPSY to confirm the nature of the cells involved. 4.Depending on the findings the treatment depends on. it varies from hormonal treatment to operative removal of mass lesion. 5.Suggest to get appointment and needful investigation and treatment. Good luck.
